Contemporary Music
Contemporary Music offers a range of units including vocal and guitar studies, music production technology, dance, and theoretical, critical, and cultural perspectives on contemporary music forms.
The Department of Media, Music and Cultural Studies is committed to the analysis and production of a broad range of cultural texts. With new state-of-the-art facilities in 2009, students can work in the practical mediums of screen production, film music, radio, music technology, multimedia, studio production, print media, vocal performance, contemporary dance and performance studies. Critical thinking and analysis units allow students to develop skills necessary for an understanding of the changing nature of contemporary culture. Units offered range from visual culture to music history; gender and feminist theory to multimedia performance; technology and the body to international communications; public relations to world music; creative writing to dance aesthetics; and many more.

In Critical and Cultural Studies, we investigate everyday life for what it reveals about who we are and how we live.
International Communication programs prepare students to engage in careers in global business, media and policy arenas through the study of communication across cultural and national boundaries.
Media offers a mix of media production units (screen, multimedia, writing,radio, PR) and media studies units. Study in Media combines the creative and the critical, the theoretical and the practical.
